WHIMSICAL WATERCOLOUR BIRDS
Join mixed-media artist and tutor Michelle Grant for a playful morning creating colourful, whimsical birds using watercolour and mixed-media techniques.
Michelle will guide you through building loose, expressive backgrounds and adding layers of colour, pattern, linework and personality to create your own unique bird artwork. You’ll explore techniques that can also be used in art journals, cards, scrapbook pages and future mixed-media projects.
This relaxed, creative class is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike. You do not need to be confident at drawing—Michelle will provide references, prepared printouts and tracing options to help you create your birds.
Class-specific paper, printed acetate, reference sheets, tracing paper and the use of shared specialty supplies are provided.
Students will need to bring
Watercolour Paints
Brushes (size 12 and 6 Round Brushes or similar)
Black and white pens
Metallic Pens (Optional)
Paint Pens Colour & B&W (Optional)
Pencils (Prisma Color, Inktense, Watercolour etc Optional)
Places are limited to 20 students.

Each class creates a different finished artwork and teaches techniques you can continue using in your own creative projects. Classes are booked separately, with a one-hour break between sessions.
