Discover the captivating flow, colour and delicate detail of alcohol inks in this beautiful hands-on workshop.
Working on smooth Yupo paper, you’ll learn how to guide alcohol ink while still allowing it to create its own unexpected and organic effects.
You’ll explore flowing blooms, translucent layers, colour blending, lifting and textural techniques before adding linework, florals and decorative finishing details.
IN THIS CLASS YOU WILL:
• Learn how alcohol inks behave on smooth, non-porous surfaces
• Create blooms, flowing edges and translucent layers
• Experiment with blending, lifting and air movement
• Explore floral, abstract and other imaginative designs
• Add drawn details, pattern and finishing marks
• Create four A6 technique samples for your reference collection
• Begin a larger A4 artwork if time permits
• Receive a class kit containing products and materials to take home
No previous alcohol-ink or art experience is required. The workshop includes demonstrations, printed references and individual guidance throughout.
