Go wild with luminous colour, energetic marks and expressive layers in this playful acrylic ink workshop.
Acrylic inks combine the fluid movement of ink with the permanence of acrylic colour. You’ll explore different ways to drip, brush, splash and layer the inks before using drawing and block-out techniques to reveal your chosen animal-inspired design.
A selection of printed animal references will be available, including birds, butterflies, dragonflies, sea creatures and other subjects.
IN THIS CLASS YOU WILL:
• Explore the unique properties of fluid acrylic inks
• Experiment with transparent layers, colour mixing and mark-making
• Create energetic mixed-media backgrounds
• Learn block-out techniques for defining your chosen subject
• Add linework, pattern and decorative details
• Create four A6 technique samples for your reference collection
• Begin a larger A4 artwork if time permits
• Receive a class kit containing products and materials to take home
No previous ink, painting or drawing experience is required. The workshop includes demonstrations, printed animal references and individual guidance throughout.
