Spend a colourful and creative Sunday exploring acrylic inks and alcohol inks with mixed-media artist Michelle Grant.
This hands-on day package is designed to help you understand the differences between these two exciting mediums. You’ll discover how each ink moves, which surfaces and tools work best, and how to transform fluid colour and experimental marks into finished artwork.
SUNDAY 15 NOVEMBER 2026
10am–1pm
Wildly Inked – Acrylic Inks
Go wild with luminous colour, energetic marks and expressive layers. Explore dripping, brushing, splashing and layering before using drawing and block-out techniques to reveal an animal-inspired design.
2pm–5pm
Gracefully Inked – Alcohol Inks
Discover the captivating flow and delicate effects of alcohol inks on smooth Yupo paper. Explore flowing blooms, translucent layers, colour blending, lifting, texture, florals and decorative finishing details.

IN EACH CLASS YOU WILL:
• Explore the unique properties of a different type of ink
• Create four A6 technique samples for your reference collection
• Learn techniques you can continue using at home
• Begin a larger A4 artwork if time permits
• Receive a class kit containing products and materials to take home

No previous ink or art experience is required. Both workshops include demonstrations, printed references and individual guidance throughout.

Places are limited to 20 participants in each class.
Food and drinks are not included; however, a coffee shop is conveniently located nearby and will be open throughout the workshop weekend. There is a one-hour break between the morning and afternoon classes.
A detailed class-information file and bring list will be emailed after booking. Please ensure the email address entered at checkout is correct.
Please wear an apron or clothing that can safely become ink-stained. The alcohol-ink workshop uses isopropyl alcohol in a ventilated environment. Please contact us before booking if you are particularly sensitive to alcohol vapours.
