Begin your Inky Art Adventure by discovering the vibrant and sometimes surprising world of powdered inks.
This foundation class is designed to take the mystery out of powdered inks and help you understand how they react with water, paper, Powder Fix and other materials.
You’ll experiment with sprinkling, spraying, brushing, blending and layering while exploring colour movement, shimmer and texture. You will then discover how bold black silhouettes, splatters, borders and finishing details can transform your experimental backgrounds into completed designs.
IN THIS CLASS YOU WILL:
• Explore different ways to activate and apply powdered inks
• Experiment with water control, colour movement and blending
• Create layered, textured and atmospheric backgrounds
• Compare powdered inks and shimmer powders mixed with water and Powder Fix
• Add bold silhouette imagery and finishing details
• Create four A6 technique samples for your reference collection
• Begin a larger A4 artwork if time permits
• Receive a class kit containing products and materials to take home
Shared powdered inks and additional class materials will be available to use during the workshop.
No previous ink or art experience is required. The workshop includes demonstrations, printed references and individual guidance throughout.

Food and drinks are not included; however, a coffee shop is conveniently located nearby and will be open throughout the workshop weekend.
